A Great Drink After a Cold Ride
I thought of this about 30 years ago when someone I liked had a cold, but lately started lapping it up myself.
Put your water on the burner and add a few spices. The most frequent ones I use are cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and ground cloves. When it starts to boil turn the burner off and add frozen apple juice concentrate. Stir till it is melted and you are ready.
Any spice that would go well in a pumpkin pie would probably work and I'm sure everyone has a favorite. I also add some chili which you wouldn't normally associate with these spices. Frozen pineapple juice also works as well as apple juice.
Be careful with the ground cloves. Too much can make it taste unpleasant. Too much of anything else makes it taste better.
